Shaping Care Together is an NHS programme aimed at changing the way we provide health and care services in Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
It is a partnership programme between Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and the Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) of NHS Cheshire and Merseyside and NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The trust serves a population of over 600,000 people and delivers a wide range of local health and care services in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and West Lancashire. The trust also provides regional services for burns, plastic surgery and spinal injuries across Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, the Isle of Man and North Wales. A combined workforce of around 9,000 are employed across 21 locations including 5 hospitals.
NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Serving 2.7 million residents, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is one of the largest Integrated Care Boards in England. It covers the nine areas shown on the map.
