In July last year we started a big conversation with everyone who relies on, or is affected by, the way we provide urgent and emergency care services across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire. We've now published a report with in-depth analysis on what people told us.
Almost 3,000 people completed our survey, showing strong support for the ambitions put forward in our Case for Change published last year. You can read the report in full here and learn more about what happens next as we progress towards a public consultation.
Sharing your views on options for services
Before we can start the consultation, we first need to go through a series of checks with NHS England to make sure we've done everything we needed to in the pre-consultation phase. All being well, we would hope to start a public consultation later this year.
That will be your chance to share views on the option(s) put forward, but also to introduce new insights and perspectives to the conversation. It’s part of making sure that decisions are made about future services based on all available facts.
The programme team is now busy preparing consultation documents, planning events and looking at how to let everyone know what is happening and how they can take part.
If you would like to stay up-to-date with programme news, including when the consultation starts, email us at sct.getinvolved@merseywestlancs.nhs.uk so we can add you to the mailing list.
